Via Rail Maintenance Facility

This centre provides for both daily servicing and heavy maintenance and repair of Via's trans-continental passenger trains.

The project was fast-tracked so that construction commenced as soon as the design concept was approved, and the project was completed within 18 months, on schedule and within budget. The building has an area of 8,900 s.m. (96,000 s.f.) and includes offices, shops, stores and facilities for 180 employees.

The project was awarded the Project Management Institute's "Project of the Year" award.
