Naden Marine Training Facility

This 778 s.m. waterfront facility is set back 13m from the seawall to provide a level outdoor work area. The plan includes a central two-storey open training deck surrounded on three sides by a mezzanine which is to be used for simulated ship-to-ship manoeuver. The large glazed west wall of the training deck provides boat access through glazed sliders and a view to the water. On the north side of the training deck are a series of boat maintenance rooms, and on the south side are administrative offices, washrooms, a classroom, and a main entry with locker area. The mezzanine level to the east is a sail loft and storage area with direct "bridge" access to the roadway.
