PBK Architects Inc. was responsible for providing a team of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical professionals to act as owner's representatives. Their functions were to provide payment certification, quality assurance and field monitoring services, prepare, issue, and administer additional instructions and owner initiated change orders. The Air Canada Centre accommodates approximately 20,000 seats for NHL hockey games and 21,000 seats for NBA basketball games.

The facility is the home of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA's Toronto Raptors.
