Burnaby Eight Rinks

Burnaby, British Columbia

PBK was retained to design a four rink addition to an existing four rink facility, making it the largest ice facility in the world.

The design features a new two-storey atrium lobby, an upper level restaurant and lounge, each accommodating up to 500 patrons, a small retail outlet, and four sets of dressing rooms for each of the ice sheets. One of the new sheets, complete with dressing room, fitness centre, coaches office, and a player lounge, will serve as the training facility for the Vancouver Canucks. Burnaby Ice Sports Centre is also the home of the B.C. Chapter of the Canadian Figure Skating Association.

Final Construction Cost: $13,000,000
