Mile One Stadium

St. John's, Newfoundland

New 6,350 seat multi-purpose facility and adjacent convention centre for downtown St. John's. The project includes a total of 35 private boxes and 1,700 club seats, and utilizes retractable lower seating to maximize trade show capacity at the event floor level. The site slopes a total of 18 metres, with the lowest elevation at the front of the building. The designers intentionally minimized the height of the building with a sloping curved roof, and buried it into the hill to allow for views to the harbour from the adjacent residential area at the upper end of the site.

Mile One Stadium is the home of the American Hockey League's St. John's Maple Leafs.
