Surrey Ice Centre

PBK Architects Inc. worked with a developer, contractor, and the City of Surrey to prepare design and detailed drawings for this twin pad project. The schedule allowed for seven months from selection of the team, to occupancy. This goal was achieved.

Included in the project are two sheets of NHL ice, 8 dressing rooms, a large atrium skater's lobby, administration offices, and a second level lounge space (to be completed by the tenant). The arena complex is adjacent to an aquatic centre which was also under construction at the same time.

Size of Facility: 50,000 ft²

Final Construction Cost: $7,200,000 for arena
