Chapman Street Parkade

Kelowna, British Columbia

This 586 car parkade includes office and retail space at ground floor level and was designed to accommodate an additional parking level. The retail component generates additional revenue and also enhances the pedestrian experience in the downtown area. The facades included carefully detailed brick and cornice lines to relate to the recently restored historic fire hall across the street. During the preliminary design phase extensive public meetings were held to gain the support of the downtown business community, neighbours and local citizens.
