University of Saskatchewan Land Use and Urban Design Study
Saskatoon, SaskatchewanPBK Architects Inc. was selected to prepare a land-use and urban design master plan for the University of Saskatchewan's 1,900 acre land holdings, located in the centre of Saskatoon.
The study illustrated options for the long-term expansion of the campus in association with a variety of other revenue generating land uses which the University may undertake in joint venture with other public and private sector interests.
Land-use options were based on market research and financial analysis which estimated potential net revenues which the university could anticipate from various development types.
The study also established design principles to ensure that all new development reinforces the high quality environment of the core campus area and its spectacular setting on the South Saskatchewan River.
